Esteemed reader, I am addressing You hoping that Your experience may light my piano pathways. Unable to start off in a more appropriate time I have done so last week, at the age of 18. *** Just a second ago I was pondering whether to provide You with a more thorough story or not. You may be the judge of my choice because it follows.
Ah, cruising the streets [on foot], having great expectations about my soon musical education; having copied about hundred pages of beginners' practice book -- I met my dear friend which would, having found out my intentions as a piano player, inform me on her quite similar endeavour. Her experience was depressing me. She claimed, which I humbly ask you to affirm or reject as untruthful, that my attempt is doomed to fail as long as I do not have the instrument home [electric or not]. In addition, I shall enclose a dilemma entirely on my modest part: Am I really not going to be able to master piano unless I have begun, like, a dozen years ago? Fully aware that my questions might rise justified mockery among the recognized pianists which are surely visiting this forum, of course. But I needed a first hand advice from someone truly knowing piano magic. This might and might not dissuade me [I am somewhat on the obstinate side], so feel free to be as cruel and honest as Your vast powers allow You. Anyone's tips on smart buying a Korg [ambitions, ambitions] -- anything affordable, I might add, are welcome and appreciated.
To You and every visitor of this forum, respect and eternal glory. |

| Hey Dude! Calm down. I am 17 now and I just starting playing by note in March and I am already in Level 4. I know some people have different teaching methods than mine so what I mean is Level 5 is as high as you go and then your done. It will be hard not having a piano or keyboard at home because you need to practice every day. But if you truly want to play the piano you will figure something out. You really should see about buying a real piano though because although you can start on a keyboard, once you get higher up you will need to use the pedal alot and keyboards normally don't have those. Don't be discouraged though! Next to Jesus, piano is my best friend!!! |
